Quick shift knob help!

Hello, I am having an issue fitting my weighted skunk2 shift knob on straight. It came with a single bolt in the last picture and the actual knob, and no instructions. I hope its a simple thing I am doing wrong but please inform me of the correct way to put this thing on, and straight! Thanks a lot.

The nut is for locking. Once you have the shiftknob at the desired angle (straight), just turn the nut tight towards the shift knob to keep it in place.
