This is not a debate about what brand you prefer. The principals can be used from one brand to another. These were just some really nice vids canon produced from their Australia department. These videos can be used for techniques for nikon or whatever brand you prefer.

I know we have some photography buffs on here, so feel free to add to this thread with any helpful vid, article, or photos that may help users.

I'm a hack, but I'd say framing is so overlooked. The rule of thirds is tried and true.. you can't go wrong.

Try to put your horizon and an object of interest in the intersecting points of the grid lines. You can break this rule of course, but working with it generally leads to a photo with much more interest and impact.

Question on storing photos on my computer......
Should I use the software that came with my camera(Nikon,D3200).Or just use my windows system..... The reason I ask is that a lot of these software programs that come with cameras seem to take over the whole thing where I've found it hard to work my way.
?????????

I just manage my pictures through Windows, never used the fancy software

Thx for the quick reply..... I wasn't sure if it might have something I'd regret for not using it........ Thx.

You might want it for tethered shooting, but you can do that without letting it take over file management

Some cameras let you shoot straight to the computer via a USB cord instead of to a memory card, really only useful in a studio
