Next Nissan GT-R rumored to produce up to 570 hp

The Nissan GT-R is an impressive piece of machinery on a number of levels, but perhaps most astounding is the fact that it's performance continues to improve year over year. If the rumors kicking around NAGTROC forums are to be believed, that trend will continue for the 2013 model. Nissan reportedly held a European press event at the Nürburgring where the company unveiled some of its plans for the next-generation supercar. Thanks to new engine mapping, a revised intake and exhaust, the 2013 Nissan GT-R may produce as much as 570 horsepower – around 40 more ponies than the current variant. In addition, the transmission and suspension mapping will also receive minor adjustments.

Underneath, the vehicle will likely sport new aero tweaks for better cooling and efficiency, and the report suggests that the 2013 model will be even cleaner than its predecessors, emissions-wise. Don't expect any aesthetic adjustments, however. The model is expected to sally forth with no new color options or visual changes, though both the Premium Black and Egoist editions are anticipated to be available worldwide.

Along with five other version of the GT-R - "Pure Edition," "Black Edition," "Premium Edition," "SpecV," and "ClubTrack" - Nissan will be offering the "EGOIST" model. This model is the first and only Nissan GT-R in the world exclusively created by Takumi, or "master with greatest skills."

This unique edition will provide a great amount of interior and exterior modifications to provide the ultimate GT-R. Each unit will be unique, as customers will be able to choose from a combination of 20 interior colors, and that is just the beginning.

Power for the EGOIST edition will continue to be provided by the standard 3.8-liter V6 twin turbo engine with 530 HP at 6,400rpm and a maximum torque of 612Nm delivered from 3,200 to 6,000 rpm. All this means is that Nissan has focused more on the look of this version, while saving the power upgrades for the Club Track edition.

Prices for the 2012 Nissan GT-R EGOIST will be announced closer to its official market launch, but check out the details after the jump to see what Nissan has in store for their latest GT-R.

Be nice!

Speaking of GT-R's, I'm watching GT Academy. You know the rip off of the European series of video gamers on GT5 ----> professional race car driver. They got to drive a bunch of Godzillas around Silverstone track. :sadbanana:
