newbie with audio here

I have a 2013 civic lx. Everything in the car is stock. What is the best way to go with regards to getting best audio? My audio knowledge is that of a 1st grader learning chemistry. So please be considerate when educating me... thanks.

Something that would help the audio guys would be your budget. Say... "I'd like to have the best bang for my buck under $300", or whatever your goal is. Then they may be able to guide you towards speakers, subs, aftermarket head units etc that would best serve the budget. Knowing what kind of music you're into, or if you're looking for a lot of bass, or whatever would help.

Ok my budget would be between 500$-2000$. I'm really interested in bass, and tweeters. Possibly even getting a custom trunk setup but with room still for groceries, etc.

If you in that budget range I have a powerful amp I would be willing to sell. Rockford fosgate t1500.1dbcp. I had hooked to 1 12 ported at 33hz and would bounce my windshield wipers off my front glass.
