Loud shifts....

So I'm at a light next to my sons Si. while stopped I can hear him changing his gears (he just started driving stick) while he was getting feel of were each gear was. Is it supposed to be that loud? When he returned home I got into car and rowed threw the gears. The shifter was hard to put into some gears and had a loud click with every gear change. Normal or should I go to dealer? T.T

Did you drive it, or just shift it while not moving?

Yea it's normal, I experience the same thing

No, haven't driven the car yet. Car was on and I had clutch engaged.
