I don't have this in my LX, but one day I will. Starting this thread to post relevant information to get me to my goal. If anyone has any tips, suggestions, etc. please post away.
So far I have found this.

Seems expensive for a little ring of plastic and and LED, so I have thought about making one using EL wire.

I think it should be as easy as connecting it to the pink and blue wires that are used for the dome lights and the illuminated door sills are connected to. Pink is negative/ground and blue is positive.
