"Today Honda has released a recording of its new F1 engine, which was recently fired for the first time," the Japanese automaker said in a short statement that accompanied the video. "The engine is being developed for the 2015 season where Honda will participate under a joint project with McLaren."

I have to say it does not sound as great as the current ones or some past ones for sure but I still welcome the change. Nowadays the cars are so close that you have at least 5 or more drivers doing very similar times in qualifying which means they kind of reached a plateau.
I would have loved a faster/bigger NA approach but a change is still a change. We'll have more spectacular races and qualifying and driver skill may come out more since the technical part will have some more challenges.

I cringe a bit at the small engine turbo approach and I do not buy their argument of being fuel responsible since F1 is a money pit and being green has nothing to do with it but as said it will make things more interesting. They will still go crazy fast and real racing skills will shine.

I for one am looking forward to see Honda back in F1.
