HEAT SHIELD RATTLE

I recently put on my skunk2 mega power rr 3" exhaust and because of the enlarged piping it's rattling something fierce on my heat shields.

My question is would anything bad happen if I removed the heat shields all together? For instance any melted lines, burnt plastics, etc.

Would it be smarter just to trim them down?

I have skunk2 as well and the same problem that rattle around the mid pipe and I was about to ask you the same question Webby
