short ram. It seems to be a generic intake that is being produced by some company. A number of companies have this same design, and they're each putting their company logo on it -

pulls air from outside the engine compartment...so in theory it should always be pulling cooler air than out of the engine bay on a short ram. CAI should show better gains

a few people have used the injen intake from the 2006+ civic (non-si specific) without issue. It's not actually made for the 2012, but the r18 engine is basically identical.

I got my afe intake for 290 shipped just to let yall know. also the reason i bought afe intake because it doesn't make hissing sound when idle and it remind me of comtech ice box.

Car does pick up alittle quicker and is quiet when idle like stock. gonna dyno my car when i get dp/cat-back from ultimate racing.
