8th Gen Almost done! Auto to manual swap

What's up guys and gals! As listed I am almost done with my auto to 5 speed manual on my 8th gen. (8thcivic is a bunch of douches and pricks) so I came here. It's currently at a shop getting wiring completed (I suck at wiring) but the mechanical stuff I did it all. This isn't really a question as much as a "hey what's up!" Kind of thing. So, yeah lol I hope it's done by Monday! I've been waiting 7 long months since I've been able to drive my car. Started with a camshaft install then decided to do the tranny swap. That's what's taken so long because I go to school on top of my day job so all I did was bits and pieces here and there on free days when I was done with my homework (wife said so) lol. Big big plans coming for my r18. Can't wait to get it back!

Thanks for the welcome. Several problems in fact. The cmc I had was garbage had to be replaced. There's a plate behind the block that I had to have cut in half for clearance of the half shaft. Tools breaking knuckles getting skinned. All part of the fun I guess. And no I did all the work in my tiny 1 car garage. I had to borrow a cherry picker in order to drop and install transmissions. But it was a great learning experience.

I don't suppose you have any pictures. This is quite an undertaking . I'm sure there are very few who have attempted this modification. A write up with step-by-step would be epic.

I don't have any pictures no but it's all pretty straight forward. Take this out replace with that and so on. I am going to attempt some form of write up. I don't know how useful it will be but I'll give it a shot.

Already I feel more welcome here than I ever did on 8thcivic. Fedex is a joke btw. I paid $60 on Thursday to have a manual ecu overnighted to the shop in Virginia beach that has my car and due to "bad weather" it's still not there. They won't refund my money either due to a act of God is what they called it. So the shop is at a stand still with my car until they get the new ecu. That shop is 4 hours away from me so it's not like I can just swing by all willy nilly. So needless to say I've called fedex about a dozen times yelling at someone.
