It's that time again, the 18,000 rpm V-8's have taken to the streets of Albert Park for the final season. After this season they will be replaced with turbo charged v-6's. They will still scream but it won't be the same sound as a 2.4 liter V-8 screaming past you bouncing off the rev limiter on the plus side of 200 mph. I personally will be sad to see them go but am over joyed to hear them roar to life once again as the season opener gets underway in Melbourne this weekend.
Free practice 1 and 2 on Friday went well, let us see the cars running around the track, still some sand bagging going on as no one wants to show their hand yet, but it looks like we have a competitive Red Bull and Ferrari and even possibly a fast lotus. McLaren have taken to change up the fast car they ended their season with and try to go down a different route with a Ferrari inspired front end, while Mercedes have the speed but not sure about their reliability yet.
Free practice on Saturday got underway quickly with everyone getting out on the track right away only to be chased away by rain.
And Qualifying looks like it got rained out after Q1 eliminations only to be postponed until Sunday.

After waiting for the entire winter season for the season to get underway again it is hard to wait until tomorrow for the first Grand Prix of the 2013 Season.

Man, waiting for the 1st race of the season is torture!! Gotta love Sunday racing! Glad we are back into the action...its always so hard to tell where things will land on the constructors end, so many good drivers but with rules and specs always changing from season to season the field can be so dynamic...i've given my early vote to RBR...

I miss the dream team of Schumacher and Barrichello when they where at Ferrari, those were the days! There has only ever been one driver I don't care for...I respect his skills as he is a top performer, but his attitude sucks....and idk why???? Dream job, top team, making mad money, super hot girlfriend, but acts like a sore loser when he comes in second or third. I swear last season he looked like he was going to cry and was obviously upset after a few races LOL, the media was dissing him big time and then you saw his attitude start to change....guess who yet???

Lewis Hamilton of Butt Hurt Racing.
