I got my LX last November. These are what I have done so far:
  • Installed fog light.
  • Installed variable intermittent windshield wipers.
  • Rearview camera using the i-MID
  • Spash guards.
  • Door guards (narrow garage)
  • Side moldins (tight parking spaces)
  • Rear window sunshade (from a Passat. Little mods needed).
  • Installed courtesy lights in all doors (also from a Passat).
  • Added SOHC i-VTEC decal.
  • LED trunk light.

Thanks! Next are the Si grille and the side mirrors from the Hybrid with turn signals. I like the wheels and tires from your car, but our roads would render them useless in a month.
The tinting of the rear clusters is hard to apply?

Thank you everybody for your comments. The wheels, engine and trunk insulator came with the car. The camera I used is this one:

Unfortunately, seems that is no longer available at eBay from the same vendor. I just checked and there is one very similar: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Fit-C...t=Car_Audio_Video&hash=item5d3034e18c&vxp=mtr

Glad to help anybody interested. Remember that the sedan rear garnish is different from the coupe, so an additional work is in order.

Like the door courtesy lights... I miss them from my old 89 Accord.... I was thinking of some sort of light there, but not sure I want to cut into the door panel. LED strips under the door panel may be the way I go, and have them shine down.

^^^ interesting idea.

Welcome. Did you use the DIY for the reverse camera installation?
I like the courtesy lights too. Got pics of the installation? You could make a DIY and enter it in the contest here. Could win yourself $250.

Sorry. Did not take pictures because I had to do it really fast and wasn´t sure the outcome, since the doors have this big plastic pieces in the lower door panels. It is a extensive work that includes remove the all floor lining, the B pillar garnish, the glove box and cutting the door panels with a knife and a file. I used an ATM fuse tap (lighter cirtuit) with a 3 amp fuse and an OEM switch to turn them off if you are going to leave the doors open for long. I used OEM Passat/Audi courtesy lamps for a quality finish, because Honda don´t manufacture them as a unit (you can buy only the lens).

I you people are really interested, I can work something for you.

I used some of the ideas from ADExternal in his DIY. First, for the sedan you need to "lift" the camera from its original place about 10mm to clear the garnish assy. I used hot melt adhesive to fill the gap and give the camera additional mechanical support.

For installing the camera, I runned 5 wires protected with split loom from the trunk: two for the video, two for the camera power and one for detecting reverse. The iMID provides power to the camera only when it detects that reverse is selected. This way, the camera only got power when reverse is selected, improving durability and you fiddle less with the car wiring (less is way much better).

The pin assignment is as follows:

Camera ground - Pin 3
Reverse signal - Pin 14
Video signal ground - Pin 18
Video signal - Pin 19
Camera power - Pin 20
