Yeah that's total BS. If the girl in applebees gets fired for her "lapse", even though its true, then the pastor should be fired for hers. Furthermore if she didn't want to tip don't eat at a restaurant. Just like if she doesn't want to pay tithe don't go to a church. This is why a lot of religious people piss me off. They expect something in return for there efforts, small or large. That's bullshit. If your participating in a church for social status or reimbursement of your efforts (imo 99% of church goers) the gtfo, that's not what its supposed to be about.
Back when I was younger and we went to church/religious ed (gag) my mom volunteer taught religious ed classes, etc. and was even requested by students and parents because of how good/fun she was. One day, after 7yrs of volunteer teaching, someone working at the church told her she wasn't allowed to teach the classes anymore because we weren't putting enough in the envelope. my dad had lost his job and we couldn't pay tithe... no more volunteering for her.

Agreed. Organized religion is a joke. It's merely for social status. If I feel the need to worship anybody, I can do it in my home. Why do I need to go to a certain place and be pressured to pay money? Plus, a couple of times when I was younger I went to church with my friends basically out of peer pressure just to appease them. You should've seen the way I was looked down on when people realized I really didn't have any interests there lol.
It really does seem/feel like a big social status thing. I didn't feel comfortable at all when I went to church when I was younger.
Then you have the ones that have the play rooms for the teens, after mass meals, etc. It's just a place to hang and gossip

Digging a little deeper I think its funny they all want you to "believe" whatever it is they believe, but lack any actual proof or evidence to back up those beliefs. I won't go any further because I don't want to offend anyone here. But I've always had problems with religion from as young as I can remember.
Yeah, don't want this to turn into a crazy religious debate 
but I hear you. If you want to be religious..be religious, but don't shove it down my throat.

I don't mean to make a blanket statement, I have MANY friends in the food service industry. They all hate working on Sundays. Entitlement is alive and well in this country, and it knows no religion (or lack thereof). But also having been a sales manager for a major hotel chain in downtown Minneapolis, I can tell you that religious groups were, far and beyond, the most difficult, demanding, rude, and disrespectful guests to work with.
Take that as you will.
I support this girl doing what she did 110% (even though she really should've cut the guys name off - that is definitely a privacy thing). But that smug jackass will think twice before getting all high and mighty with someone who makes minimum wage plus "Tips" again.

I've already said I'm on the waitresses side, but I think people need to start being aware of cameras(in this case showing the name). In general doing anything that's going to get on a social network has got to start being in the mind of the doer....... Navy XO never makes Captain of a ship for something that he did 3 - 4 years before it was released(just goofing off, nothing anyone would think about).... funked his career......... every time we watch the news, they're showing where someone got caught on camera................. Think ppl
