New Exhaust Question

I am planning on running the Full Race Catted Down Pipe paired with a Skunk2 76RR Cat-back, and am wondering if anyone else is running that setup. I want to make sure there are no fitment issues before buying once the weather breaks, and am unsure if I can run this setup with the stock engine mounts.

Why not pair it with a Full-Race exhaust?

I would recommend at least upgrading the rear mount. Not absolutely necessary, but fairly cheap insurance for the long run.
 
It'll bolt right up. They all mix/match without issue. You can run any catback with the stock downpipe or aftermarket downpipe. Same for aftermarket exhausts with other downpipes.

I just like the look and the sound of the Skunk2 catback better. If Skunk2 made a catted DP I would definitely keep it all from one manufacturer, but unfortunately I can't get away with no cat in Ohio.

Thanks @webby for the reassurance, that is good to hear. The mount is what I am most concerned about, as Full Race's site says specifically that it is designed to be used with an aftermarket rear mount, but all the DIY's I have seen thus far do not seem to have replaced their mounts.

Replacing the mount would not be in the DIY for the downpipe as it is not a necessary part of installing the downpipe. There is a DIY for the mount though. I have updated my DIY to add the mount as a recommended part.

Hmm I may have to replace my rear engine mount when this weather breaks too just as insurance since my exhaust is a year old as of this week

What I meant was that of the DIY's I've seen, I noticed from the pictures those people had not replaced their engine mount(s) in preparation for replacing their exhaust with these aftermarket parts, so I wasn't sure if it was necessary or not. Sorry for any confusion.

@Dennis Rockholt , did you experience any rattling or anything while driving this last year with your stock mount? I missed the DIY for the engine mount; that was gonna be my next question. Thank you @squiggy !! It looks a lot easier than I imagined it would be, and doable while I have it up to do the exhaust so I will just do it anyways.

Yep I have rattling right around 2k rpms or so, but somedays are worse than others. All in all, I plan on getting stiffer hangers and replacing that engine mount in hopes that will take care of it. If not, Ill just take a cutoff wheel to the invidia hangers and shorten them. Since I may go the supercharge route all of this is stuff ill need anyways

Replacing the mount(s) right away is not necessary on a car that is less than a few years old and without power mods. The issue is, once you start adding power and once the stock mounts start wearing, the engine will start to move back and forth more and tug on the exhaust.

No problem! I just think the companies make the hangers on the muffler a little too long cuz mine are maybe 1/4" from the metal under the bumper
