I'm looking for a honest mechanic who isn't trying to charge and arm n a leg, i need my clutch replaced I had my clutch fixed sometime in February and it went out again in June only lasted me 4 mon. So I now need to have it replaced again, for the warranty on my clutch they want me to first send them back the one I bought so that they can see why it failed and if they think it's my fault they'll will not replace it even if under warranty. I'm just looking for someone to do the labor I would do it myself but I don't have all the tools required to do the job more efficiently, so if someone out there can help me or if you know someone don't hesitate to contact me or let them know to contact me. Thks

I don't know if @ron v would know of a shop or be of help. It might be worth shooting him a message. He does a lot of maintenance and upgrades himself & started to document things on his youtube channel. He's over by escondido

It may be worth calling some shops (not dealerships) to see if anyone would be willing to give you a labor quote. 4 months is crazy short for a clutch to go. Was it used in autox, or any track events?

No it wasn't but I do drive fast at times I'm not sure what happened to it, it was making this weird like slipping noise it wouldn't catch when I would start off in first or second gear once I got up to a certain speed it would work fine and the rest of the gears worked like it should, so I took it to the mechanic who fixed it and he told me that i must've chafed the pressure plate and that I just need to drive it regularly and try to burn off whatever he thought was chafed. So i try that like a day or 2 later the clutch completely takes a **** and goes out my car goes into gear but won't move. So i don't know what happened to the clutch at this point until I take it out.
