This is my first post here. Got a 2015 si a few weeks ago and last night I scraped a curb. It's very minimal damage, almost hard to find, but it's a new car and it's bothering the hell out of me. Haha I got a quote from one company and they said they would have to put it on a cnc machine because of the type of wheel it is. That didn't make sense to me, but I'm no expert. Anyone else go through this process?

I think what they meant to tell you was that "the type of finish it is" Although most of the wheel is painted, where it is scraped it is a diamond cut type finish so it is hard to re finish for most dealership repair persons.

Would be best to take it to a rim repair shop and see what they would charge.

It would bother me too, but would prob just leave it be until it was time to upgrade wheels :)

It is a machined finished surface with clear coat over it. That cannot be repaired unless brazed and remachined.

Thank you guys. A few places told me about 170 dollars, so not really worth it right now for something so insignificant. Just gotta watch those curbs. lol
