2015 Civic Dimming Lights

Hi there,

I purchased a 2015 Honda Civic, I noticed at night with the headlights on, that when I tap the brakes or shift from D to N to R, the front head lights dim a little. Is this normal with this model? I am following up with dealer this week, I have had it two months and it's fully under warranty.

I am thinking Battery or Alternator

Yea I'm pretty sure this is normal, shifting or stepping on the brake pedal consumes voltage
 
my car does this too.

im at 40k on my car and havent had any battery or alternator problems so far so I'd say it's normal and operating as intended

Yea, well i'm sure every car does this cause its a power draw and the battery has to replenish the voltage that was used to light up the brake lights when you pressed the brake pedal...also yea i read that.... I'm surprised it was the N/As and not the turboed Civics'
 
Anyone ever notice the amount of dimming headlights do when a window being rolled up or down reaches it's stopping point. Do all four at once and hold it for a few seconds and you'll loose half your headlights brightness lol unless you feel or hear the engine want to die I'd say your fine
 
YES!

And I think it should not happen, but all my Honda's do it

Every car under the sun does this it's normal, wouldn't pay much attention to it and enjoy the car:brock:
